Mayor Vi Lyles: Success in Telling Our Story

Charlotte Mayor Vi Lyles expresses her view that the Gantt represents the next generation of success in telling stories of African Americans, locally and abroad. Mayor Lyles is the city’s first African-American female mayor and has been in office since 2017. Before her mayorship, she served as a member of the Charlotte City Council.
